Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using Mamori ("the service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service Description

Mamori provides AI-powered coaching during Japanese phone calls. The service helps foreign residents in Japan communicate by providing real-time transcription and response suggestions. The service connects real phone calls through your browser.

3. Acceptable Use

You may use this service only for legitimate, lawful phone calls. You must have a reasonable and lawful purpose for each call you make.

4. Prohibited Use

The following activities are strictly prohibited. Violation may result in immediate and permanent restriction from the service.

Stalking or unwanted contact - Making repeated or unwelcome calls to someone who has not consented to being contacted
Harassment - Using the service to threaten, intimidate, bully, or harass any person
Sexual harassment - Any sexually inappropriate, suggestive, or abusive communication
Fraud and scams - Using the service to deceive, defraud, or impersonate others
Discrimination - Hate speech or discriminatory language based on race, gender, nationality, religion, disability, or any other characteristic
Illegal activity - Using the service to facilitate any activity that violates Japanese law or the laws of any applicable jurisdiction
Abuse of emergency services - Attempting to call emergency numbers (110, 119, etc.) through the service
System abuse - Attempting to bypass rate limits, exploit vulnerabilities, or disrupt the service

5. Protection of Call Recipients

The people you call through this service have rights. You are responsible for ensuring that your calls are wanted and appropriate. Making unsolicited, repeated, or harassing calls to any person is a violation of these terms and may also violate Japanese law, including the Anti-Stalking Act (ストーカー規制法) and the Nuisance Prevention Ordinance (迷惑防止条例).

6. AI Coaching Disclaimer

AI coaching suggestions are provided for reference only. They may contain errors or inaccuracies. The service does not provide professional translation, legal advice, or medical advice. You are solely responsible for what you say during phone calls. Mamori is not liable for any consequences resulting from your use of AI suggestions.

7. Service Limitations

Calls are limited to Japanese phone numbers (+81) only
Each call has a maximum duration of 5 minutes
Daily usage limits apply to all users
The service may be unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time

8. Enforcement

We monitor for abuse through automated systems including AI content filtering and rate limiting. We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to any user who violates these terms, without prior notice.

9. Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Mamori is not responsible for call quality, connection failures, AI inaccuracies, or any damages arising from use of the service. You use the service at your own risk.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.

11. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
